Javier Pons set to join Globomedia as Director-General
Javier Pons, a well-known figure in the audiovisual sector, is set to join the team at Globomedia as Director-General. Globomedia is a MEDIAPRO Group production company which specializes in content for television (fiction, entertainment, news programs, etc.). Pons has established that his objective to boost and strengthen Globomedia’s introduction in all the areas and formats of television content in Spain as well as internationally.

With two Ondas Awards and an Emmy nomination to his name, Javier Pons boasts a wealth of experience having started out in radio working for the Grupo Prisas’s radio stations and M40. In the area of television, Javier held the post of Director-General of TVE (2007-2010), El Terrat (1999-2007), and was Executive Producer of Azteca TV (2014-2015) in Mexico. As a consultant, he has collaborated with GLG Consulting (UK), Llorente y Cuenca and Kiss Media.



Globomedia is the leading production company in Spain for television fiction, responsible for series such as “El internado”, “Águila Roja”, “Pulsaciones” and “Vis a Vis”, as well as programs like “El Intermedio”, “Zapeando”, “El Club de la Comedia” and “El Objetivo”.
